Bitmap and vectorial hologram recording by using femtosecond laser pulses

Abstract In this paper, we present two approaches for recording a quasi-hologram on the steel surface by femtosecond laser pulses. The process is done rotating polarization of beam half-wave plate or spatial light modulator (SLM), so can control orientation formed laser-induced periodic structures (LIPSS). Two different are shown, which use vector and bitmap images to record hologram. For first time our knowledge, managed hologram image continuously adjusting SLM during scanning. developed method substantially improve technology eliminating complex processing procedures, lead increasing fabrication speed reducing cost.
